As a born skipper's son, after a career that partially was ashore, the first thing I did when I retired was to purchase a boat, the lure of the water was too strong. After a number of years I came to the decision to purchase a new boat for various reasons. A boat that had to be very handy and manoeuvrable because I wanted to sail the boat alone without too many problems and experience it by myself. August 2014 was that day and a pearl was born: a little boat which people would like and which was great for both Zeeland and the canals. Spicy detail: the name of the boat was my father's nickname at that time among the skippers (Iron Frans).
