Good sailing design, like the lines of the Trintella yachts. Unlike the larger Trintella's, this yacht has a large cockpit, instead of two separate ones. The cockpit is largely sheltered by a fixed doghouse. From the saloon it is sheltered and comfortable to stay in the large, self-draining cockpit.

The yacht has a spacious and comfortable interior, with two separate cabins. In the stern is a spacious owner's cabin with en-suite wet cell. In the bow is the guest cabin, with double bed and bunk bed and second wet cell in the bow. In the port passage to the owner's cabin are two more berths situated, which provides in total sleeping accommodation for 6 to 8 people. The saloon provides a beautiful, large round seat and a fully equiped navigation corner. Under the starboard cockpit edge and the gangway is a large, long kitchen.

Several major innovations have taken place in 2017-2018. The hull and the superstructure have been repainted, with all windows, shutters and gates renewed. also, the entire deck is equipped with new teak. In addition to these major innovations, many other smaller repairs have taken place.

This Simonis 54 is a Trintella-based design, with similar style, quality and sailing characteristics as the Trintella 49 and Trintella 51A. At the request of the client, Simonis Yachtdesign adapted the design to his personal preferences and wishes. For example, the mirror was extended with a scope and the cockpit layout was adapted to a large cockpit, instead of two separate cockpits. In order to have a larger sailing range, the keel has been adapted to a shallower tandem keel. In 2017 and 2018 this yacht has undergone several large-scale renewals, including painting of hull, superstructure and spars. The yacht is completely equipped with new teak decks and all windows and shutters have been replaced.
