This beautiful yacht was build in 1928 on behalf of engineer Mr. G.E. Lagercrantz, who named her Frolic.
In the year 1932 she was sold to Mrs. Ebbe Bonde-Wallenberg, from Stockholm. She re-named the yacht, to the current ship's name, Malulu. She was extremely charmed by the yacht and had defined in her testament, that the yacht had to be a family heritage, after her dead. In any other case, the yacht had to be sink down in the most deepest bay.
Fortunatly, it did not have to come this far, since the yacht was confiscated in the second world war, by the Swedisch navy. The navy used her as a fast patrol yacht. The original Kermath Sea-Farer petrol engine was then blown up.
After the war and dead of Mrs. Ebbe Bonde-Wallenberg, her son took the yacht's destiny seriously and had a new Chris-Craft V8 installed. After that he used it for only one year. Despite the families decreasing interest in Malulu, they could not bear the thought of sinking her in a deep water bay. They descided to have the yacht put on slip, at the yard Fisksatra in Saitsjobaden, Sweden.
Malulu stood ashore for 10 years, before she was sold to Gustaf Chatkowski, from Lindingo -Sweden. He restored the yacht in all her glory once again and had a new engine installed, by which the yacht performed again, as she did in earlier times.
In 1998 the yacht was bought by a Dutch maritime company. An extensive overhaul took place and the current 87hp Lombardini turbo diesel was installed. She was brought restored in original state with addition of a modern engine and equipment.
Recently the for deck was entirely renewed, with new ribs, mahagony protection with epoxy and teak laid deck.
The yacht shines again as before en is certainly worth a visit
