The design of 'Levante' captures the imagination both on the outside and inside. In the early 1970s this ship raced under the name 'GEM' skippered by owner William Ziegler III. Because only five sister ships were built, we can safely speak of a ship that is unique in its kind. Levante can be sailed perfectly singlehanded because all lines run into the cockpit.
