The Gib Sea 414 may be—quite unfairly—somewhat underrated, but it definitely offers great value for money. The yacht was named “Boat of the Year” in 1995, and for good reason! Renowned naval architect Rob Humphreys succeeded in designing a fast, rigid, and agile yacht that remained easy and comfortable to sail. The shipyard’s challenge was to produce a well-built, beautifully finished yacht using traditional methods—and at an affordable price. It’s no wonder comparisons were drawn to yachts like the Sigma 400, the X-412, and even the Swan 40; following the acquisition of the Gib’Sea shipyard, the Dufour shipyard continued to keep this successful model in production.

Additional information
The Gib Sea 414 definitely offers great value for money and is perhaps—entirely undeservedly—often underrated. The yacht was honored as “Boat of the Year” in 1995, and for good reason! It is a masterpiece by top designer Rob Humphreys and the shipyard, who together developed a yacht that sails exceptionally well and is rigid, maneuverable, and comfortable.
The excellent condition of the high-quality interior reveals that this 414 has always been owned and cared for with great attention. The yacht is now in the hands of its second owner, who has carried out various upgrades to continue enjoying the yacht to the fullest. The well-thought-out layout offers three separate cabins and a very spacious salon below deck, while the crew enjoys a generous and ergonomic cockpit above deck.
