The Hanse 342 is a beautiful combination between a stiffly built ship (solid wring network and laminated head bulkheads) with good sailing characteristics and comfortable sailing through the self tacking jib. With this Hanse the SB winch is placed within the range of the helmsman so that the helmsman can easily operate the mainsail and the foresail. The mainsail traveller in the cockpit makes this extra easy. For the use of the winches you can use a powerful electric winch handle.
